Dr. Sundeep Lakhtakia is a Senior Consultant at the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology, Hyderabad, with over 26 years of extensive experience in gastroenterology. He has a special interest in clinical gastroenterology and advanced endoscopic interventions, particularly Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) and ERCP. He heads the EUS division of Endoscopy at AIG, one of the highest-volume centers in the region, performing more than 7000 EUS procedures annually. His expertise includes complex and cutting-edge interventions such as EUS-guided gastrojejunostomy (EUS-GJ), EUS-guided biliary drainage, EUS-guided drainage of pancreatic fluid collections, and EUS-guided pancreatic tumor ablation. He serves as a peer reviewer and editorial board member for several prestigious journals.
